Bangladeshi film wins an award at Cheboksary International Film Festival

Bangladeshi film "Aam Kathaler Chhuti", has won the award at the 16th edition of the Cheboksary International Film Festival. Directed by Mohammad Nuruzzaman, the film bagged the Special Jury Award at the event.

The film has been titled as “Summer Holiday” for its international release. This is the director's debut directorial feature film. 

Based on writer Sharif Uddin Sobuj’s short story, the film depicts the childhoods of the generations of the 1980s and 1990s. It revolves around a boy who visits a village in summer. He discovers a new world and makes many friends during the visit.

Besides directing, Mohammad Nuruzzaman wrote the screenplay and designed sound for the film.

Aam Kathaler Chhuti stars Leon, Jubayer, Arif, Halima, Tanzil, Fatema, Kamrul, Abdul Hamid played different characters in the film.

The 16th edition of the Cheboksary International Film Festival will begin on May 26 and will run until June 1.
