Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher are pushing the envelope for intense action training for the upcoming Indian remake of ‘Citadel’.

According to a source close to production: “The series is going to have high-intense action and it being a spy series there has to be a particular swiftness in the movements and fight sequences, for which the training is currently underway. Shoot will continue till July for the series.”

Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher have embarked on an intensive three-week training program for their upcoming action-packed series, Citadel India.

Helmed by ‘The Family Man’ creators Raj and DK, ‘Citadel’ is the Indian counterpart of the larger international series of the same name which has been originally created by the director duo, Russo Brothers.

Under the guidance of renowned stunt coordinators from Hong Kong and Los Angeles, the actors are honing their skills in combat techniques, weapon handling, and overall fitness to ensure they deliver exhilarating action sequences on screen.

The training camp, which commenced last week in Andheri, aims to equip Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher with the necessary tools and expertise to bring their characters to life. A team of four experienced stunt coordinators is guiding them through complex action set pieces, including bike stunts, proper firearm handling to firing techniques and ammunition knowledge.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be starring alongside Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher in the high-octane world of Citadel India.

The global version of the series stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.
