When you should not drink water

Water means life to us! It is the most important element for the human body. Water helps to provide you with energy, promotes weight loss, flushes out toxins, helps to improve your skin complexion, boosts up your immune system and what not?

You are often told to drink a large amount of water everyday by the doctors,  but do you know  about the specific times when you should not intake any water at all?

 

Drinking too much water before going to sleep can be harmful.

  • Before going to bed, because  it will make you urinate more , which will disrupt your sleep. For which your body cannot rest properly.

 

  • Sleeping less or not having a sound sleep, going to use the bathroom  frequently might increase the chances of heart disease, which eventually leads to having a high blood pressure. Sometimes while sleeping, your kidney might function a bit slower than its usual speed, so if you drink water before sleeping it creates a lot of pressure on your kidneys. Which can lead to kidney failure in the long term scenario.

Drinking too much before going to bed can be harmful for kidneys.

 

  • Drinking a high amount of water can also cause swelling of your hands and feet. Thus not drinking much water before going to bed is a safer option. Instead you can always have a glass of water an hour before you go to sleep.
