Chief selector of Bangladesh Cricket Team Minhazul Abedin Nannu could be penalized for making bad comments about Bangladesh cricket's first ever international star and former captain Mohammad Ashraful. Jalal Yunus, head of the cricket operations, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), has publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with him (Nannu). He also said that necessary steps would be taken after talking to BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon.
In a recent interview with a private television channel of the country, Ashraful said, "It is better for the members of the selection panel to have a term of 3-4 years." Then Nannu called Ashraful a traitor and a fixer.
"Ashraful is a current player and a former captain. It was not right to attack him like this. I heard it and talked about it. I will also talk to the board chairman about it." Jalal Yunus told the media on Monday (3rd of January)
