A newborn baby covered in blood stained toilet paper has been found inside the toilet trash bin of an airplane. The newborn has already been rescued from the spot.
A 20-year-old woman from Madagascar has been arrested in connection with the incident. She is to have given birth on the flight. It is suspected that she might have given birth to this child on the flight.
The BBC reported that the Air Mauritius flight from Madagascar landed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport on Saturday (1 January). The incident came to light after the officials of the airport conducted a routine search.
The Officials then rushed the newborn to the hospital. The suspect initially denied that she was the mother of the baby boy. However, after examining the medical report, it is confirmed that she had just given birth to the baby.
Currently the woman is under police surveillance at the hospital. Both the woman and the child are known to be in a healthy state.
Reliable sources informs that, the woman is a resident of Madagascar, who came to Mauritius with a two-year work permit. Whenever she gets released from the hospital, she will be interrogated and charged with abandoning the newborn. References: BBC.
