Miscreants set on fire to 263 vehicles, 15 properties since blockade

Miscreants set on fire to 263 motor vehicles including buses and 15 properties since the blockade enforced from October 28 across the country.

Md Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence, told BSS through text today that the miscreants torched 263 motor vehicles including buses and 15 other properties in the capital as well as across the country.

The miscreants set on fire to one bus of "Taranga Paribahan" in the city's Shahbagh area in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU)
during the last 24 hours, he said.

"Two units having 10 firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze," Sikder added.

He, however, said that miscreants vandalized one ambulance, set on fire to 162 buses, 44 trucks, 23 covered vans, eight motor cycles and 26 other motor
vehicles.
