Within a matter of hours, the unity of the opposition bloc in INDIA has been dealt a blow. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has revealed its intention to contest every Lok Sabha seat in Punjab, while Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee has firmly stated that there will be no alliance with Congress in West Bengal.
Today, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, revealed that the Aam Aadmi Party has shortlisted 40 potential candidates for the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. To finalize the selection process, a survey is currently underway.
Hours after Ms Banerjee's surprising announcement that there is no collaboration with the Congress in Bengal, these comments were made, highlighting the fact that any decision regarding an alliance at the national level will be deferred until after the election.
