Renowned actor and cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time.
After undergoing a test, Noor was discovered to be positive for Covid before of his participation in the 11th Parliament's winter session on Sunday.
“He (Asaduzzaman Noor) returned home and was sent to a city hospital on Monday morning to avoid health complications,” said Sammilita Sangskritik Jote (SSJ) President Golam Kuddus.
In December 2020, he tested positive for Covid for the first time.
Asaduzzaman Noor, a former minister of culture from 2014 to 2019 and a multiple-time elected MP from the Awami League's Nilphamari 2 constituency, is now a member of the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of culture.
The 75 years old thespian got the Independence Award (2018), Bangladesh's highest civilian honor, for his contribution to the country's arts and culture. He is well known for his television role 'Baker Bhai' from Humayun Ahmed's majestic drama serial 'Kothao Keu Nei'.
