Film actress Raima Islam Shimu, who had been missing for a few days, was discovered dead yesterday inside a sack near the Hazratpur Bridge in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of the capital.
Kazi Ramzanul Haque, Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Keraniganj Police Station said that after being notified by residents, the body of a woman named Raima Islam Shimu was recovered from Keraniganj around 10:00 a.m. Monday. The body was taken to the Sir Salimullah Medical College mortuary for an autopsy.
Shimu’s relatives filed a general diary at Kalabagan Police Station on Sunday after she went missing.
In this connection, RAB arrested Shimu's husband Nobel and Nobel's friend Farhad at Monday night.
