Prominent band singer and frontman of Chime, Khalid passed away at a private hospital in the capital on Monday evening due to a heart attack. He was 56.
He breathed his last at Comfort Hospital in Panthapath 7:15pm, lyricist and composer Prince Mahmud confirmed the matter.
Khalid is best known for his songs "Shorolotar Protima", "Himaloy", "Kono Karonei", among dozens of other hits during the 90's and 2000's. Khalid won the hearts of the audience by singing many popular songs.
Born in Gopalganj, the singer started his journey in the world of music in 1981.
