Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas made the surprise announcement on Friday, taking to each of their Instagram accounts to confirm they welcomed their first baby via surrogate.
On Friday, the couple shared a statement on their separate Instagram accounts that read: "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much [red heart emoji]."
Neither revealed the sex of their newborn.
As soon as the star couple broke the news on social media, congratulatory messages started pouring in. Katrina Kaif wrote: "Congratsssssssssss.” Priyanka’s The Sky is Pink co-star Farhan Akhtar wrote: "Congratulations to you and Nick."
Actor Kal Penn wrote: "Congratulations! Kalpen uncle is ready to babysit." YouTuber Lilly Singh added, "Can't wait to cuddle them."
The couple tied the knot back in 2018 in an extravagant Indian wedding hosted in Jodhpur, India.
