Celebrated actor and activist Ilias Kanchan has been elected President while Zayed Khan has been elected general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association for the years 2022-2024.
Monowar Hossain Dipjol and Rubel have been elected as Vice Presidents jointly. Symon Sadik has been elected as Assistant General Secretary.
Actress Shahnoor occupied the Joint Secretary post, while Mamnun Emon is the new secretary for culture and sports.
Other members of the executive panel are Anjana, Rozina, Aruna Biswas, Sucharita, Ali Raj, Moushumi and Chunnu from the Misha-Zayed Panel, and Ferdous, Keya, Jasmine and Amit Hasan from the Ilias-Nipun panel.
Chief election commissioner Pirzada Shahidul Harun officially announced the results on Saturday morning.
This year, the association had 428 voters, out of which 365 votes were cast by the members.
