The Shakun Batra’s directorial ‘Gehraiyaan’, which was among much-awaited films of the year, finally got released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday.
While some are calling it brilliant, others claim that Shakun Batra’s directorial is a ‘waste of time’. Amid all this, Dharma Production backed by Karan Johar who is known to be very close to Deepika Padukone, posted a review about the film which seemed negative.
‘Gehraiyaan’ is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles.
The official Twitter account of the Dharma Productions shared ‘accidentally’ a negative review, which reads, “The only Gehraiyaan after watching Gehraiyaan are the one’s in my brain because of all the brain damage that movie gave me.”
After realizing their huge mistake, the production house deleted the tweet minutes after posting it. But it was too late as it didn’t escape the eagle-eyed netizens.
The users started trolling Dharma production for their ‘mistake’. Some people called it part two of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, others mentioned that the movie had no story, but only sex and kissing scenes.
‘OMG why did they do that?’, wrote a Twitter user. ‘Ohh, self burn – those are rare’ wrote another. Adnaan Khan whose tweet was shared by Dharma Productions’ Instagram, reacted to the error. ‘Some intern is getting fired,’ he wrote.

Kangana Ranaut slammed this new movie and took to her Instagram stories and posted her views with Manoj Kumar's 'Himalaya Ki God Mein' song 'Chand si Mehbooba,' and said, “I’m also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance... in the name of millennial/ new age/ urban movies don't sell trash pls... bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can save it... it's a basic fact koi gehraiyaan wali baat nahi hai,” with a wink-eye emoji.
