South Indian cinema superstar Allu Arjun, known for "Pushpa-2," has been arrested, as confirmed by reports from Indian media outlets NDTV and Telegraph India.
According to NDTV, during the premiere of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" last week, a woman died in a stampede, and her 9-year-old son sustained serious injuries.
Following the incident, Hyderabad Police filed a case against 41-year-old Allu Arjun. Cases were also filed against his security team and the management of Sandhya Theatre.
Reports confirm that Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday for alleged involvement in the stampede.
Hindustan Times reported that a police team from Chikkadapally Police Station visited Allu Arjun's residence on Friday, arrested him, and took him into custody.
The police stated that Allu Arjun was taken to the police station for questioning.
