Met office forecasts cold spell ahead

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast, night temperatures may rise slightly across the country over the next 24 hours, but both day and night temperatures are expected to decrease starting Monday.

Meteorologist Kh. Hafizur Rahman shared this update on Sunday (December 29). As per the forecast, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies until 9 am on Monday.

Light to moderate fog may form in some areas from late night to early morning. Night temperatures may experience a slight increase, while day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged during this time.

From 9 am on December 31, the weather is anticipated to stay predominantly dry with partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog may persist in some regions from midnight to morning.

A slight decrease in both day and night temperatures is predicted, with a further drop expected over the next five days.

On Sunday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 11°C in Srimangal, while Dhaka reported a minimum temperature of 16.3°C.
