A fire broke out at the Aminbazar 400/230 kV Substation in Savar on Tuesday morning.
The blaze started at the grid around 7:15 am, UNB reports.
Nine firefighting units worked tame the fire, said Jewel Mia, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.
However, the blaze was controlled after two hours of efforts, according to the Fire Service sources.
The reason behind the incident is still unknown.
