After days of military conflict, India reopened 32 airports on Monday (May 12) following the announcement of a ceasefire with neighboring Pakistan.
According to the country's airport authorities, 32 airports from Srinagar in India-administered Kashmir to Bhuj in the western state of Gujarat have been fully reopened for civilian flights.
The airports were previously closed last week after four days of conflict between India and Pakistan.
India's leading airline, IndiGo, announced that it would "gradually resume operations on previously suspended routes."
The ceasefire was declared last Saturday, but both sides immediately accused each other of violations. However, both India and Pakistan reported that the border areas remained calm on Monday.
