At least 19 people have died and 164 others injured after a Bangladesh Air Force aircraft crashed into a building of Milestone School and College in Uttara, according to the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
Injured pilot Flight Lieutenant Toukir Islam Sagar died at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, it said, reports UNB.
In a press release issued on Monday, ISPR shared the hospital-wise list of casualties.
According to the press release:
· Kuwait Maitree Hospital: 8 injured, no deaths
· National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery: 70 injured, 2 dead
· Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka:, 12 dead, 14 injured
· Kurmitola General Hospital: 2 dead
· Lubana General Hospital and Cardiac Centre, Uttara:, 2 dead, 11 injured.
· Uttara Adhunik Hospital: 1 dead, 60 injured
· Uttara Crescent Hospital: 1 injured
Earlier, the Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed 19 deaths in the aircraft crash.
