The Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce the Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) for the first half of the 2025–26 fiscal year on Thursday.
The MPS will be officially presented by Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur at a press conference held at the central bank’s headquarters in Dhaka. The announcement was made via a press release on Tuesday (29 July), reports BSS.
During the briefing, the governor will discuss the outcomes of the current monetary policy in terms of controlling inflation, stimulating private sector credit growth, and boosting overall economic growth.
Senior officials, including the head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the central bank's chief economist, and other top executives of Bangladesh Bank, will be present at the conference.
