The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has taken the initiative to sell products nationwide through truck sales ahead of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
In a press release on Tuesday (February 10), the organization stated that it is currently selling products at subsidized prices to smart card–holding families. In addition, during Ramadan, essential goods will be delivered to 3 to 3.5 million consumers through special truck sales.
TCB said that along with regular items such as oil, lentils, and sugar, chickpeas and dates will also be sold during Ramadan.
However, the specific quantities and prices of the products under the truck sale program will be announced later.
TCB further mentioned that the truck sale activities may begin the day before the start of Ramadan. Through this initiative, TCB aims to make essential commodities more accessible and affordable for low- and middle-income people during the holy month.
