The Election Commission (EC) has published the country’s updated final voter list. According to the new list, the number of voters in the country has now exceeded 128.3 million.

Saiful Islam, Director (Operations) of the EC’s NID wing, said that the total number of voters in the country currently stands at 128,323,240.
Earlier, before the 13th parliamentary election, the final voter list published on 18 November showed 127,695,183 voters. In the new list, the number of voters has increased by more than 628,000 in one and a half months.
EC officials said that those who applied to become voters after 24 November 2025 and whose date of birth was on or before 1 January 2008 were included in the new list after verification and scrutiny.
According to the EC’s decision, the draft voter list was published on 20 April. Applications for corrections or transfers were accepted until 3 May, and the deadline for resolving applications ended on 6 May.
Saiful Islam, Director of the NID wing, said while announcing the publication of the final list on Thursday that among the current voters, 65,212,731 are men, 63,109,266 are women, and 1,243 are transgender individuals.
