Five congregational Eid prayers will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. The first congregation will begin at 7:00 AM. The Islamic Foundation has finalized the list of scholars and officials who will serve as imams and mukabbirs for these prayers.
On Thursday, the Foundation sent the list of appointed officials to the media. Earlier, the list had been finalized in a letter signed by Dr. Mohammad Harunur Rashid, Director of the Foundation’s Religious Preaching and Culture Department.
The first congregation will be held at 7:00 AM. The prayer will be led by Baitul Mukarram’s Senior Pesh Imam, Hafez Maulana Mufti Md. Mizanur Rahman. The mosque’s muezzin, Qari Ishaq, will serve as the mukabbir.
The second congregation will take place at 8:00 AM. It will be led by Dr. Maulana Waliur Rahman Khan, Acting Director of the Foundation’s Zakat Fund Department. The mosque’s Chief Khadem, Md. Nasir Ullah, will serve as mukabbir.
The third congregation will be held at 9:00 AM. It will be led by the Foundation’s Mufti, Md. Abdullah. Md. Ruhul Amin will serve as mukabbir.
The fourth congregation will take place at 10:00 AM. It will be led by Maulana Mohammad Nur Uddin, Additional Deputy Director of the Foundation’s Religious Preaching and Culture Department. Md. Abdul Hadi will serve as mukabbir.
The fifth and final congregation will be held at 10:45 AM. It will be led by Zubair Ahmad Al-Azhari, a religious instructor at the Imam Training Academy. Md. Amir Hossain will serve as mukabbir.
If any imam is absent from the scheduled congregations, the Foundation’s Assistant Librarian, Md. Shahidul Islam, will serve as the substitute imam. Additionally, Md. Shamsul Haque will serve as the substitute mukabbir.
The Islamic Foundation has requested all concerned individuals to arrive at the mosque before the scheduled time and participate in the holy Eid-ul-Azha prayers.
