They said the presence of battery-powered rickshaws on the busy flyover creates an additional risk of collisions, particularly as the vehicles move at much slower speeds than other traffic.
The commuters said the growing number of such vehicles and their movement without properly following traffic rules are already causing safety concerns on roads, while their operation on flyovers and other busy routes could further increase the risk of serious accidents.
They urged the authorities concerned to take effective measures to regulate the movement of auto-rickshaws and ensure compliance with traffic rules to prevent accidents and maintain safer traffic flow.
