Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves stood at US$36.39 billion, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank (BB) today.
Reserves calculated under the IMF's BPM6 methodology stood at US$31.58 billion.
Earlier, Bangladesh received US$9.997 billion in workers' remittances during July 1 to October 13 of the current fiscal year (FY2026-27), marking a 12.9 percent increase from $8.856 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
According to the Bangladesh Bank data, the country received $1.405 billion in remittances during October 1-13, up 10.6 percent from $1.270 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
On October 13 alone, expatriate Bangladeshis sent home $115 million, the data showed.
The sustained growth in remittance inflows is helping strengthen the country's foreign exchange receipts and supporting the external sector amid ongoing economic challenges.
