Two people were killed due to coronavirus in 24 hours till Tuesday morning in the country.
"Bangladesh reported 8.86 percent Covid-19 positive cases against the samples tested during the last 24 hours," a daily statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Tuesday.
The official tally showed that the virus infected 20 lakh 30 thousand 550 and killed a total of 29 thousand 386 people so far, the statement added.
The first case of coronavirus was detected at Wuhan in China in 2019. Soon after, the virus spread worldwide. The first case of the disease was detected on March 8 in 2020 in Bangladesh. The country saw the first Covid-related death on March 18 of the same year.
