Zimbabwe secured a one-run win against Pakistan in 24th match of Group 2 in the T20 world cup in Perth on Thursday (October 27). It was a tight finish.
Zimbabwe batted first and scored 130 for 8 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan could manage to score 129 for 8 wickets after 20 overs.
Shahin Shah Afridi came to bat in the last ball of the innings. Three runs were needed in just 1 ball. The batter charged for the winning runs. The fielder was standing 10 yards in to begin with to deny a second and the ploy works. Shahin Shah Afridi was run out after taking just one run.
Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza bagged three wickets giving 25 runs in four overs. He became the Player of the Match.
