A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.2 magnitudes on the Richter scale, was felt at different parts of the country including the capital on Monday (December 5) morning.
The tremor was felt around 9:00 am.
According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was the Bay of Bengal and its depth was 10 kilometers.
However, no casualties were reported so far.
