Smartphone users often face the problem of their smartphones charging slowly . To fix this, many people tend to change everything from the battery to the phone. But did you know? even new phones can have this problem after a few months of use. So, you need to find the actual reason behind this problem. Only then you can get the accurate solution.
1. Bad Accessories
Your phone may not have anything to do with the intuitive reason why your phone charges slower than before. Instead, you could have a bad cord, adapter or a weak power source. A weak, faulty or faulty power outlet can charge your phone too slowly. Older sockets and house wire sketches can also cause slower charging. Using USB cables on multiple phones, bending or placing them in a place where the temperature changes significantly can also cause your phone to charge slowly. So, before doing anything else, just change the cable and see if it makes any difference or not.
2. Charging Port
Often the small metal connector on the USB port can be slightly bent. For which it gets difficult to communicate properly with the charging cable. To fix this, turn off your phone and remove the battery if possible . Now try to straighten the curved part with the help of a fine metal object and clean the port well. Then, turn on your battery again, power up the device and try charging again.
3. Background Apps
Some apps may show high battery usage because you use them frequently. Try to find out those applications you use less but which use more of your phone’s battery. Running too many applications in the background not only slows down your phone's charging rate but also consumes a lot of your phone's RAM. Also, running too many apps actively in the foreground can slow down the speed.
Open the settings option on the phone. Find the section called 'Application Manager' or 'Apps'. For some phones, follow the steps of setting> general> apps to find the harmful apps and close them.
4. Old Battery
If your phone is more than two or three years old, and has been widely used during that time, it’s high time you replace the battery. If your battery is not removable, take the phone to a repair shop.
5. Using phone while charging
Using the phone while charging does not directly harm your smartphone but it can be a big factor in slowing down your battery. The phone struggles to provide power for simultaneous use and charge, causing the battery to overheat which shortens battery life. Do you also use it while charging? Probably this might be the reason behind your poor battery performance. So keep your phone down and let it charge peacefully.
