The Awami League candidate from Magura-1, cricketer Shakib Al Hasan emerged victorious in the national election, defeating Advocate Kazi Rezaul.
Shakib secured 78 thousand 865 votes, while Kazi Rezaul received 2855 votes, as per the locally announced election results.
Polling in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) started sharp at 8am today simultaneously at 42,024 voting centres in 299 constituencies across the country.
