2 killed, 5 injured in Natore road accident

At least two people have been killed and several others injured in a collision between three vehicles - bus, truck, and pickup van - at Takia on the Natore-Rajshahi highway in Natore Sadar Upazila on Wednesday morning. 

The deceased were identified as truck driver Abu Musa hailing from Jhenaidah and trader Asadul Haque hailing from Kushtia. 

Akhtar Hamid Khan, senior station officer of Natore Fire Service, and police said a collision took place between a Rajshahi-bound passenger bus from Dhaka and a timber-laden Natore-bound truck from Rajshahi and a pickup van in front of a petrol pump in Takia area of ​​Natore-Rajshahi highway this morning. 

On information, the police and fire service rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. However, truck driver Abu Musa died on the spot. The injured timber trader Asadul was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Besides, at least 10 people were injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals including Natore Sadar Hospital.
