Three people were beaten to death by a crowd in the early hours of Thursday in the Ilomdi Bagbari neighborhood of Narayanganj's Araihazar Upazila on suspicion of robbery.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Anisur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Araihazar Police Station, verified the incident.
He said three persons were slain in the morning in a lynch mob attack on suspicion of robbery.
Two persons were died on the spot, and another was critically injured and died on the way to hospital.
