ACC summons Ex DSCC Mayor Taposh

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, former mayor of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), for questioning over allegations of acquiring wealth worth crores through irregularities and corruption.

On Thursday, October 24, the ACC sent a letter to Taposh's residence in Banani, requesting him to appear on November 3.

According to the ACC letter, Taposh is accused of amassing a significant amount of unexplained wealth through illegal means. To ensure a thorough investigation, it is essential to hear and collect his statement regarding the allegations.

The letter further stated that he is requested to appear at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka on November 3 at 11:00 AM to provide his statement. Failure to do so will be considered as having no statement to offer regarding the accusations.
