Police have recovered the body of DBC News producer Abdul Bari from the Hatirjheel area of the capital on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Bari, senior producer of private television channel DBC.
Pedestrians found his body on the shores of the lake adjacent to the bridge next to the police plaza in Gulshan. On information, police rushed to the spot and identified the body.
"The body was found at Hatirjheel near Niketan residential area of Gulshan, said Aminul Islam, police inspector (investigation) of Gulshan Police Station.
"The blood-soaked body bore several marks of stabbing injuries," he added.
Investigators suspected that Bari might have been killed somewhere else and the body was dumped beside the lake on Tuesday night.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for post mortem examinations.
