Abdur Rouf Talukder becomes new Governor of Bangladesh Bank

Abdur Rouf Talukder has become the new governor of the Bangladesh Bank for the next four years.

Finance Secretary Abdur Rouf Talukder has been appointed as the new governor of Bangladesh Bank. He replaces Fazle Kabir as the head of the central bank.

He will begin his tenure on July 4, according to the notice.

Prior to this fresh appointment, Abdur Rouf is currently serving as the senior secretary at the Finance Division.

Born on August, 1964, Talukder is married to Selina Rawshan, a teacher by profession and they are blessed with two children.
