Cholera vaccine’s second dose begins

The second round of the oral cholera vaccination campaign began from 8.00am on August 3 in five particular areas of the capital.

The campaign will continue up to 4.00pm without any break. The vaccination will be conducted till August 10 (except Friday and Ashura Day on Tuesday).

According to ICDDR, B, Jatrabari, Sabuj Bagh, Dakshinkhan, Mirpur and Mohammadpur of Dhaka, 23 lakh 65 thousand 585 residents who received the first dose of cholera vaccination will be given the second dose.

Those who received the first dose of cholera vaccine from June 26 to July 2 can receive the second dose by showing their vaccination card at their respective immunization centers.

A total of 2.36 million people living in Jatrabari, Dakshin Khan, Sabujbagh, Mohammadpur and Mirpur areas of the capital who received the first dose of the vaccine between June 26 and July 2 will be given the second dose of vaccine during the drive.
