2 deaths, 696 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

Two people were killed due to coronavirus in 24 hours till Monday morning. A total of 696 people were tested positive with the virus in this time.

"The positivity rate is 12 percent against the samples tested on the day," a daily statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Monday.

A total of 20 lakh 26 thousand 908 people were tested positive for coronavirus. Among them 29 thousand 371 were died due to the virus.

The first case of coronavirus was detected at Wuhan in China in 2019. Within several months, the virus spread worldwide. The first case of coronavirus was detected on March 8 in 2020 in Bangladesh. Country saw the first death from the virus on March 18 in the same year.
