The price of sugar is hiked by Taka 6 per kg while the price of palm oil has been cut by Taka 8 per liter. With the new change, the price of per kg loose sugar will be Taka 90 per kg and the packaged sugar will be Taka 95 per kg. The price of palm oil super will be Taka 125 per liter with the new price.
The price will come into effect from Friday (October 7).
Senior Secretary of Commerce Ministry Tapan Kanti Ghosh confirmed the matter to the journalists after a meeting at the ministry on Thursday (October 6).
