Bangladesh saw one death and 409 positive cases in 24 hours till Sunday morning. The positivity rate is 9.94 percent against the people tested on the day.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter at a press briefing on Sunday.
The new cases raised the country's total caseload to 20 lakh 29 thousand 723. The coronavirus death toll so far is 29 thousand 381.
The first case of coronavirus was detected at Wuhan in China in 2019. Soon after, the virus spread worldwide. The first case of the disease was detected on March 8 in 2020 in Bangladesh. The country saw the first Covid-related death on March 18 of the same year.
