Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque today said that the next election will be held under Election Commission (EC).
"No caretaker government will return in the country and the next election will be held under the Election Commission," he said, reports BSS.
The minister said these while addressing the opening ceremony of the two-day conference held at the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in the city's Kakrail area.
BNP has become restless to destabilize the country, he said, adding that the leaders and workers of BNP are now saying that they would not participate in the upcoming elections unless caretaker government is reinstated.
"Like other countries, elections will be held under the political government in Bangladesh," he added.
"According to the constitution, the election will be held under the Election Commission," he reiterated.
