Ekushey Padak winning actor and screenplay writer Masum Aziz has passed away. He breathed his last at 3:30pm at a city hospital on Monday.
Actor Sazu Khadem confirmed the news of his death to Ittefaq Online.
Veteran actor Masum Aziz was suffering from cancer and cardiac diseases for a long time. He got admitted to the hospital and was put on life support as his physical condition was very vulnerable. All efforts of the physicians went in vain as he breathed his last at 3:30pm on Monday.
The body of the legendary actor will be taken to the central Shaheed Minar on Tuesday where his fans and well wishers will pay the last respect to him.
Actor Masum Aziz has performed on stage, television and film. While studying in Chittagong University, he made his acting debut in theater. In 1985, he debuted in TV drama. Masum has played more than four hundred drama and notable film since 1985.
He was awarded with National Film Award in 2006 in the category of best actor in a supporting role. He got the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2022.
