Two people were killed and 300 others were tested positive with coronavirus in 24 hours till Wednesday morning. The positivity rate against the test is 7.18 percent darting this time.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter to the media in a press statement on Wednesday.
The official tally showed that the virus infected 20 lakh 33 thousand 419 and killed a total of 29 thousand 410 people so far, the statement added.
Some 411 people were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the disease in the 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
Earlier on Tuesday, six people were killed and 287 others were tested positive with the virus.
The first case of coronavirus was detected at Wuhan in China in 2019. Soon after, the virus spread worldwide. The first case of the disease was detected on March 8 in 2020 in Bangladesh. The country saw the first Covid-related death on March 18 of the same year.
