Update : 12 Nov 2022, 16:22

Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, additional commissioner of Detective Branch of DMP, feared that Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parash might have been killed in any place of Dhaka.

The police official came up with the assertion while talking to the journalists at DMP's media center in the capital city on Saturday.

The top DB official said, "Police will investigate why he was in Narayanganj's Chhanpara. He might have been kidnapped. We are suspecting that he might have been killed anywhere in Dhaka. However, the mystery behind the murder will be unveiled soon."

He also said, "We did not find any information which refers that Fardin was killed while buying drugs. We are not yet sure who killed him. The details will be expressed after the investigation of the matter."

"The culprit/s will face the music," he added.

The body of Fardin was recovered from the Shitalakkhya River at Banani Ghat in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on November 7.
