At least five people were killed and another was injured in a road crash on Trishal Balipara Road at Trishal of Mymensingh on Sunday (November 20) night.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Two of the deceased are female and the rest of the others are male.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station Maeen Uddin confirmed the matter to the media.
Maeen Uddin said, “A truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area at 7:30 pm, leaving five people dead on the spot and one injured critically.”
“On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies,” he added.
