A Pabna court on Sunday granted bail to 12 farmers of Ishwardi upazila of Pabna, who were arrested in a loan default case.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Court’s Judge Mohammad Shamsuzzaman passed the order on Sunday (November 27). They took loans from Bangladesh Samabaya Bank.
The farmers are Abdul Gani Mondal, 50, Samad Pramanik, 43, Alam Pramanik, 50, Mahatab Mandal, 45, Shamim Hossain, 45, Noor Baks, 45, Md Atiar Rahman, 50, Kitab Ali, 50, Hannan Mia, 43, Md Maznu, 40, Abul Hossain, 40, Md Akram, 46, and Mohammad Rajab Ali, 40.
Confirming the matter, the lawyer of the farmers, Saidur Rahman Sumon, told Ittefaq that the court granted bail to the marginal farmers on condition of repaying the loan.
