The Election Commission (EC) is going to take action against 134 people including the returning officers in the connection with the irregularities in the by-elections in Gaibandha-5 constituency.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal came up with the assertion at a press conference at Election Commission office at Agargaon in the capital city on Thursday.
EC will take action against 126 presiding officers, an Additional Deputy Commissioner, a Returning Officer, a magistrate and five police personnel.
