BNP to face music as per law if creates violence: Quader

Expressing caution over the violent activities unleashed by the BNP in the name of mass rally in city’s Nayapaltan on Friday, the   Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday (December 8) said if anyone creates anarchy  in the name of political movement would be dealt according to the law of the land.

“If  BNP leaders or activists are found in engaged in violence in the name of political movement then they [BNP] will be resisted in legal way  along with the ruling party men ”, said Quader.

Quader also Road Transport and Bridges Minister made this remarks while joining virtually to the triennial conference of the district Awami League held at Sherpur Shahid Darog Ali playground here on Thursday.  

Criticizing the BNP’s anarchy in the name of political movement, Quader said “no benefit will come through carrying out arson terrorism …as the people has already rejected those particular terrorist group.”

Quader, however, told the function that there is no problem for the Awami League If BNP wages movement lawfully, saying that the ruling Awami League wants to run the country in democratic way where everyone irrespective of party affiliation have right to speak out.

 Awami League presidium member and Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque inaugurated the conference with district Awami League president and whip M Atiur Rahman Atique in the chair.

Awami League Organizing Secretary Shafiul Alam Nadel, its cultural affairs secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil and central committee member Marufa Akhter Popy, among others, spoke at the conference.

Addressing the conference, the agriculture minister said “It is well-nigh impossible to oust the government in the name of movement, adding “those who will try to make anarchy in the country on December 10 would be dealt with an iron hand.”

 Referring to the development of the incumbent government ,the senior ruling party leader said Bangladesh once was a food deficit country, but the country now witnesses surplus in food production which was resulting from pragmatic   and time befitting decision of the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.
