Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been ranked 42nd on Forbes' list of the most powerful women in the world. Last year, she was ranked at 43.
Sheikh Hasina is the longest-serving prime minister in Bangladesh's history.
She won the fourth term and it is her third consecutive term. Her party Awami League won 288 of the 300 parliamentary seats.
Sheikh Hasina further plans to focus on issues such as food security and access to education and healthcare, the magazine said.
The Forbes list put Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission as the most powerful woman in the world. She was followed by European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
As a mark of tribute, Iran's Jina Mahsa Amini was posthumously featured in the influential list at rank 100.
Since 2004, the American business magazine compiles an annual list of the 100 most powerful women in the world.
