Four people including a minor girl were killed and five others injured as a train hit an auto rickshaw at a rail level crossing in Dhepakandi area under Bhuapur upazila of the district on Wednesday (January 11) noon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter to the media, Officer-in-Charge of Bhuapur Police Station Faridul Islam said the accident occurred at Dhepakandi on the Bhuapur-Tarakandi rail line.
Injured people were rushed to local hospital.
