None has died due to Coronavurus in the last 24 hours till Monday morning in the country. A total of 29,441 people have died so far from the virus.
Nine people were newly infected with the virus on Monday. A total of 188 people have recovered during this period. Around 20 lakhs 37 thousand 377 people were detected with the deadly virus in the country from the beginning of the pandemic.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has confirmed the matter to the media through a press release on Monday (January 16).
The release also said that 19 lakh 89 thousand 765 people have recovered from the disease till Monday.
Some 2,364 samples were collected in 24 hours from 883 from both government and private labs. One crore 52 lakh 13 thousand 439 samples have been tested so far.
In the last 24 hours, 0.38 % of the samples were tested positive. Considering the sample test, the total detection rate of country till now is 13.39 per cent.
The recovery rate is 97.66 % and death rate is 1.45 % in Bangladesh.
The first case was detected in the country on March 8, 2020. The first death from Coronavirus was on March 18.
