Daylong metro rail service for Ijtema on Sunday

Metro rail will run non-stop from Uttara North Metrorail Station to Agargaon Metrorail Station from 8 am to 5 pm on Sunday (January 22) to ensure smooth journey of passengers on the occasion of the Akheri Munajat of the 2nd phase of Biswa Ijtema.

Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges said the matter through a press release on Thursday (January 19).

The second phase of Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the Muslims, will begin on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi on Friday (January 20).

The Ijtema-goers will be able to use shuttle bus from Diabari to Uttara House Building area. After the Akheri Munajat, the people will be able to make journey by metro rail to Agargaon till afternoon.
